Established in 1901, Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club is one of Bedfordshire's most successful sport clubs.

Audience: 

Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club boasts a growing membership with around 100 adult members and 75 juniors - our junior section is currently thriving. Through our extensive in-person marketing footprint we can provide your business with the opportunity to build brand-loyalty within the Big Town area.

Digital: 

Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club boasts circa 180,000 media impressions annual across our digital channels (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) providing extensive reach and awareness for any of our partners. We provide integration with these channels and can target specific target audiences based on your objectives. We also hope to continue these channels over the next few seasons.

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but are not limited to:

Today:

Throughout the club, Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club's ideals reflect sports core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. 

We have adopted England Hockey Club's policies covering subjects such as; behaviour, ethics, policies on concussion, policies on gender/ethnicity, safeguarding and welfare. 

We have a junior section of approximately 120 ambitious individuals, and we have just started our own youth disability section called “Yes We Can”; part of our aim to allow all abilities to thrive through the physical and social stimulation of hockey. Our club aims to be a true community club, being totally inclusive, regardless of age, ability or background, which allows all our members to join together, from those as young as three, all the way up to 85 years of age.  

Completing this clubhouse project will enable the club to develop and grow and become the central focus point for a community to come together through hockey. It will provide all, but in particular our junior and disability section members, a safe environment to play and socialise with the hockey community. Other than the changing rooms, there is no usable indoor space around the pitch and so currently the senior teams have their ‘post-match teas’ at a pub a mile away, but this is clearly not suitable for junior members and so there is no provision. It will put hockey on a level playing field with other competitive sports and will allow our expansion to continue, as well as inspire our junior members to be the hockey stars of the future.

Aspirations:

The vision for Leighton Buzzard Hockey Club is to:

• provide the opportunity for all aspiring hockey players, who live in Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding areas, to take up the sport and in doing so securing the ongoing future of the club and the wider “hockey family”

• focus on competitive and social hockey, catering for all abilities and ages

• be a friendly and social organisation where people know each other and enjoy their membership

• support the desire for all members, parents and volunteers to participate to the best of their ability, through playing, coaching, umpiring and supporting

As mentioned prior, we also hope to grow our social platforms - giving great opportunities to potential sponsors to attain some digital exposure through sponsoring the club.
